Types of sewage in a private house

Modern comfortable life today cannot be imagined without elementary amenities, to which everyone is already used to. Their sewer includes them, which became a necessity, both in multi -storey and private houses. In the latter case, the sewage system is a rather complex design, which includes a large number of various engineering structures and equipment designed to efficiently collect wastewater and their subsequent cleaning and removal.

Wastewater should be cleaned without fail in the absence of a centralized sewer network, since usually there is a well for the supply of drinking water on the land plot, and unpeeled wastewater can cause pollution of the aquifer. Therefore, before starting to arrange a sewage system of a private house, first of all, it is necessary to solve the issue of where the wastewater will be removed and how they will be cleaned.

We can dispose of sewage in several ways. The simplest sewer in a private house of which is low, is a cesspool. For its manufacture, a hole is dug at a rate of 0.5 m3 for each person living in the house. The walls of the cesspool are strengthened by brickwork, stone or concrete, after which the structure is sealed with bitumen. The floor is poured with concrete, and the upper overlap is made of a reinforced concrete slab with a hole for pumping waste.

Today, the most common option for arranging sewage systems in a private house is the septic tank. It is made by digging a well containing a three -fold daily volume of wastewater intake. This allows fecal waters to stand within three days, during which an anaerobic process occurs, and large fractions are partially converted into silt, and the clarified water is excreted into the soil or a special container.

In places with sandy soil, filter wells are often used. They are wells of reinforced concrete rings, brick or stone, the bottom of which is not sealed, but is covered with a layer of crushed stone or gravel, about 1 meter thick. Wastewater, passing through such a filter, is gradually cleaned, after which they are absorbed into the soil.
